This week's YM & YW 2nd Sunday: Learn More about the Restoration of the Priesthood.

After studying the assigned For the Strength of Youth magazine material, use these scenario keys to help youth apply what they learned about priesthood authority and priesthood keys.

1. Cut out the keys before class.

2. Give each key to a youth or small group.

3. Have them read the scenario and discuss: “Where is priesthood authority involved—and does this person hold priesthood keys?”

4. Let youth share their answers with the class.

5. Use the notes beside each key to clarify the answer and discuss the difference between holding a priesthood office, exercising priesthood authority, and holding priesthood keys.

Proverbs 3:5–7; 4

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart.”

How would you try to persuade someone that it’s better to “trust in the Lord” than to “lean … unto [our] own understanding”? (Proverbs 3:5). What comparisons or object lessons would you use? As you ponder Proverbs 3:5–7, think of ways you might complete sentences like these: Trusting the Lord is like … Leaning on our own understanding is like …

Why is it unwise to lean on our own understanding? How have you discovered that the Lord is trustworthy?

Even so, we might find it difficult to trust the Lord at times. Why is that? Elder Gerrit W. Gong suggests some reasons, along with helpful counsel, in “Trust Again” (Liahona, Nov. 2021, 97–99). What stories or teachings do you find in this message that might help someone restore their trust in the Lord?
