If you would like to play a game with your youth that relates to the General Conference, you can click on this image to access a page that provides further explanation. This would also be great for a youth activity during the week.

Blindfold one of the youths, then have the other students create an obstacle course. First, let the blindfolded youth try to figure it out on their own. Then, ask them if they would like to take your hand or a friend's hand, and they will help lead them through. They might refuse and want to do it themselves. That's ok, people can still talk to them and help them (that is the guidance of the spirit).
Read the scriptures: D&C 112 :10
Ask the youth these questions:
Why do you think humility is necessary before we can truly receive guidance from the Spirit?
What are some “obstacles” in life that you feel you can’t navigate alone?
Just like the blindfolded person needed to trust someone else to guide them, we need humility to trust the Lord’s hand in our lives.

The Lord will lead me as I humbly seek His will.
Thomas B. Marsh, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, was upset that Joseph Smith had, without consulting him, called two members of his quorum to preach the gospel in England. He met with the Prophet, who received a revelation that helped Thomas put aside his hurt feelings. That revelation is recorded in Doctrine and Covenants 112.
Keep this context in mind as you study Doctrine and Covenants 112. What do you find that might have healed Thomas’s hurt feelings? In verses 3–15 and 22, you could look for answers to questions like these: What is humility? What does it mean for the Lord to lead you “by the hand”? Why do you think being humble helps you receive the Lord’s guidance? You could find additional answers in “Pattern of Humility” in Elder Joseph W. Sitati’s message “Patterns of Discipleship” (Liahona, Nov. 2022, 87–88).
Think of someone you know who is humble. What does this person do to show humility? What do you learn from the Savior about being humble? Perhaps you can find pictures of times in His life when He showed humility.
When have you felt guided by the Lord as you humbled yourself?

The rest of the lesson is in my store.
First is a first-person narration of Thomas Marsh. Let a student act out this scenario, or simply read the narration. I believe it helps young people understand the scriptures better if they have some knowledge about the person who received the revelation.
You could spend the entire lesson time just studying this, which isn’t bad if the youth are staying interested and engaged. However, if you are receiving feedback to move forward, you can complete the group activities in this lesson.

Divide your class into three groups and distribute the three giant puzzle pieces. There will be scriptures for each group to read, answer the questions, and share with the class.
The youth will compare planting a seed of faith, which requires humility (Alma 32), to Section 112 of the Doctrine and Covenants.

I believe it is essential to emphasize the importance of humility; without it, faith and knowledge would be impossible. The ground would never be soft enough for anything to grow without humility. However, without humility, that seed of faith can still die. It's something we need to keep in check, even when we acquire knowledge.

After each group places the pieces on the board and shares what they have learned, they will draw scriptures out of a bag and decide if they fit best under Humility, Faith, or Knowledge. The sorting helps you with discussion, which is more important than getting these cards in the right place.
For example:
This card could be any of the three: Humility, Faith, or Knowledge, but that is what makes this interesting. What do the youth think and why?

This helps them read the scripture with a purpose, but it doesn't have to stop there; we can ask them more questions, like. What is this scripture about? What is he healing them from? What kind of relationship does our Heavenly Father want to have with us?
Your board may look like this when completed:

I got confused with YW and YM. I think I fixed everything except the lesson plan. Sorry about that.

This week's gift tag is already in the lesson bundle, but you can purchase it separately here.
