May 20-26 "Behold, Thy King Cometh"
Updated: May 18, 2019
This month has been crazy! December has got nothing on May. We are almost there! School will be out soon, and then we can face a whole new set of problems(:

I've got two Zacchaeus activities for you, because I couldn't decide on one. Now you can make that tough decision. You can turn this into a sensory activity, with some leaves like we did. It is always good for those little hands to get lots of textures.

You are going to want to print this on cardstock. I hope the back of this helps show you how it works.

https://media.ldscdn.org/pdf/magazines/friend-june-2006/2006-06-00-friend-eng.pdf There is alot to read through, but in all that there is a story about Zacchaeus, from the Friend Magazine.

The next one, I kept thinking about how quickly Zaccheaus came down from the tree, and eventually these finger puppets were invented. Now you can build your own tree on the side of a table or chair, or even a wall, and the kids fingers can do the running and jumping.

This next activity is a fun one. Also, very good for small children, you don't have a glue the pieces on they can just trade out different eyes, noses and mouths. Or they can try to make their own face like we did. If you want to go farther, you can say that "He knows what color our eyes are, what we like to smell and eat".... but do what you feel is best for your kids.

It looks just like her!

I didn't make these. They are just free clipart from the internet. You are welcome to them, or you can get some of your own.

I really wanted to build a temple. Your older kids can put them back in the right order after being cut out, or you can also tape these to blocks. Music is very good for small children. While they are building you can just sing this song together.

This puzzle idea came from the Come Follow Me for Primary. But if you teach very small children, that can maybe handle 4 puzzle pieces... I have the original, so that you can cut it up yourself.

My 10 year old said this week is too "Easy". So I made something just for those senior primary kids that are preparing to go to the temple. There is more than one way to get to the temple, and many roads of repentance.

https://www.lds.org/children/activities/matching/temples?lang=eng This is a temple matching game on the Churche's website.
https://www.lds.org/children/activities/color?lang=eng Temple coloring page.
https://www.lds.org/children/resources/topics/temples?lang=eng For other Temple stories and activities in the Friend Magazine.
For older kids this is more of a coloring page that tells a story. For your younger kids they can also match smallest to biggest, in the events.

This is can be a coloring page that you do all together, or a teacher/ parent can prepare it beforehand, and surprise them with the results. A good complimentary scripture is: "The Lord looketh on the heart." Samuel 16:7

Another awesome week. It's just so fun! Hope you can use this as a resource to your own inspiration.
Please share if you can. To get anywhere on Pintrest I have to pay $60 a month, for a business account. Ya, that doesn't work if I want to keep offering this for free. So please let your friends know on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and of course still try pinning what you like to Pinterest. Thanks for helping a Sista out!
