July 15-21 "The Word of God Grew and Multiplied."
Updated: Jul 16, 2019

You know what is crazy...? When I start planning for the next week of CFM, it looks impossible. I get tempted to just come on here and say "I've got nothing." Then I pray, read lots of scriptures, search things out and before I know it, I have so many ideas and not enough time to do them all. That is again how this week was. I just feel so blessed to see that weekly miracle. I'm also very lucky to have something that makes me study the gospel. There are just sooo many blessing.... including you and your nice comments this last week on social media. Thank you!
Starting from the beginning of the Primary Manual:
A Coloring page:

My oldies and besties, might recognize this(; color by number:

Here is a Sensory activity for younger kids, you can add Fruit Loops, or Cheerios for the added sensory of taste and smell.(:

Here is the song about loving others, that the Primary Manuel suggests learning:
I'll Walk With You. Here is a video with the song and pictures.

I planned using this for senior primary classrooms, or families. Write the kids names in the middle and pass them around for everyone to write something nice in each spot. Smaller kids in families can draw in the the spaces instead of writing.

This is a link to some stories about being special, or being a child of God, and let me say, some of these made me cry, very special talks to the children.

Here is a Printable paper doll that I made from one of those cute stories:

Come Follow Me- For Primary page 109 "Invite the children to draw a picture of themselves. Share your testimony that Heavenly Father loves each of them and all his children, no matter what they look like, or where they are from.

I wish the church had a movie about Peter being freed from Prison, but they don't. Here is one that isn't too bad, if you speed past the worms and clarify the that Peter and the Angel didn't come floating out of the sky (: This would be good for home, but not church approved.

This one the church made, and it shows Peter being released from prison, but don't watch the whole thing! Or you will spoil next weeks lesson.

The Primary manual suggest acting out the story. Here are some acting props:

He actually isn't as sad as he looks, he just doesn't want you to see his braces(:

Someone asked about my sticks, here they are, bamboo skewers. I tape the point to paper so the kids don't stab themselves.

I leave my masks in a mason jar, for the week, it's surprising how often the kids come back to them and when visitors come they get to hear the narration of what we are learning about.

This activity was inspired by Mitzi from https://emiscrafty.com/2018/12/10/come-follow-me-2019-lesson-plans/ She contacted me, gave the the idea of what she wanted done, even wrote the words out. It was so fun to make. What a cute idea to make a chain of the story. You can even put them on the kids arms (after you tell the story) and act out how the Angel made the chains "Fall off."

Here is a activity to help practice the order of prayer.

Last one, the Primary Manuel says:
"Explain that while Christians throughout the world belong to many different churches, we belong to the same church that Jesus Christ established on the earth." CFM-for primary page 111
So I taught this in a Sharing time and it was really fast and kept even the "littles" attention. I put the instructions in a printable format, so you can take it with you while you teach.
You start with printing the pictures and glueing the little pictures to 10 cups.
Your first set up is this:

You explain that when Jesus was on the Earth, he ordained Apostles and prophets to lead his church. Then you build your tower of cups with 4 on the bottom. As you build, talk about how Jesus was baptized, he cleaned the temple, he had people write things down for the scriptures, he taught them to love their families and others, he taught them how to administer the sacrament, he taught them how to pray.....showing them how his church is supposed to be.

It should look like this, when your all done building. With Jesus at the top.

Then the wicked people kept killing his Prophets and Apostles. Jesus took the Priesthood from the earth because of the wickedness of the people.
(Have a child remove the piece of paper with Jesus and the Apostles. Of course it falls.)
Have the kids take the cups and build mini churches like this:

After Jesus and the Apostles died some people tried to make churches from what they taught. But, they didn't have the Priesthood or prophets, to receive modern day revelation.
(We can still show respect to these churches, because they are trying their best to live like Jesus.)
For example this church. They know that Jesus was baptized, so it must be important, but they got a little confused and tried to baptize babies. We all know that babies can't breath underwater, so they just sprinkle water on their heads.
They know that temples were important to Jesus, but they aren't sure what needs to go into a temple.
Personal note: we live next to a Harry Christner Temple, my kids call it the llama temple. The members believe that Animals, and "life" needs to be in their temple. You can use that as an example if you want.
Then one day a 14 year old boy said a special prayer, to Jesus and Heavenly Father:

Joesph Smith became the first prophet in our dispensation. Heavenly Father gave him the Priesthood. Heavenly Father showed him how we need to be baptized, how to administer the sacrament, how to build temples, and what goes inside of them, Heavenly Father helped Joesph Smith find the golden plates, so we have more scriptures (explain while you build the tower).
It should look like this:

Now you pull out the cup with Jesus on it...carefully.

Then you put Jesus over the top of the Prophet cup.

Explain that Jesus now leads his church through a living prophet. It is Jesus Christ's church and we are members of his church. We are Christians!
Be sure to bare your testimony.
Here are the Printable's, for this activity:

PDF Print out of the instructions
This would be a good time to sing "I belong to the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints."
Here is a movie with pictures of the song:

Se ve bien? Debes escribir el nombre de un niño en el medio y pasarlo para que todos puedan escribir un buen cumplido en los diferentes espacios.
