"It is Finished"- June 17-23
Updated: Jun 16, 2019

Here is the movie that the church put together of The Trial's of Jesus.
This is a "wheel of events" you can use to review it, or have the kids tell you the story. Remember these come in black and white coloring pages.

The Primary Manuel suggests that the children watch this video of Christ's Crucifixion. It is very child friendly. However, if you don't feel like that is right for your kids. You can still use the "chain of events" activity to tell the story. You can breeze quickly over the parts that you think will be too difficult of just take certain strips out.
You can also used this activity to review the movie. Or discus the crucifixion together as a class or family. I plan on spreading them out on the floor and asking my kids what is the order of the "chain of events?"

Here is a link to the friend magazine that provides lots of stories about forgiveness:

I chose a very simple one and added a coloring page. You are welcome to it.

Here is a story about a girl forgiving and letting go of a balloon. I like that idea, would make a great activity.

This next activity comes from page 93 of Come Follow Me For Primary.
I thought it would be fun to have pictures of parents doing things for their kids over the top of a picture of Jesus. As you discus how parents feed them as a baby...something they can't do themselves...and so on. You remove the pictures and show them the picture of Christ. Because of Jesus we can be Resurrected, something we can't do for ourselves.

My cutting looks terrible, yours will be better.

Here is an activity for Repentance. I think real bandaids are the best! New, fun textures are good for little hands, plus the sticking and peeling are great for small motor development. But, if you don't have bandaids I have some here for you to print.

This is a super cute idea from the Friend Magazine.

It's about building forgiveness.
Focusing on Matthew 27:54, The centurions were motivated by fear, where the strongest motivation is love. A testimony built on fear, doesn't last very long...look what they did to the apostles.
Here is a testimony sheet for your older kids, with the scripture right on it, so you can circle words, and write down your impressions together.

How is Repentance like taking Big rocks out of the Bag?

You can tape these to some big rocks, or imagine what it would be like if they were real, and talk about repentance.
Here is a word search with the Hymn "Behold the Great Redeemer Die."

Sorry that's all I've got this week. Summer has hit me hard. Trying to balance out my family and doing my favorite thing.....CFM. I'm trying to be brave and let things go, like not having "the chain of events" colored. I've been waking up early to do what I can before my kids wake-up. But, once again I'm out of time. God knows my heart, and my ideas that I didn't get put on paper, and for some reason that makes my feel better. I hope this can still help.
God bless you in your study of the Gospel.
Love
