"Continue Ye in My Love" June 3-9
Updated: Jun 1, 2019

For those big, tough senior primary kids....I have a search and find. There are 100 hearts hiding in this picture.

Those of you who have been with me from the beginning, know that I love sensory. Kids just learn best with their 5 senses.

I will:
Start out with glue.

Then I let her sprinkle, sand or dirt on the paper.

Talking to her about how very dirty the disciples feet were. They wore sandals and animals would....on the road (: It would all stick to their feet. The very lowest of servants got the job of washing the feet. It was worse than scrubbing the toilet.
But, Jesus poured water on their feet (blue paper)...

and scrubbed them (fabric). The King of the World, did this very dirty job, because he loved them, and wanted to show them an example of serving others.

This idea came from reading the Primary Manual "You might show pictures of the Savior's life to help (see gospel art book) How we can show love to others." I love the idea, this just makes it a little more hands on. The kids can take turns flipping the paper and telling everyone what the story is about.

I really liked this scripture and this visual came to my mind. I like it much better as a coloring page, but I made it in color for those that want to teach with it.

Update: My Mother-in law teachers a Senior Primary class. I love her ideas. This was one of her brilliant ways to get her kids to learn the scriptures better. She is going to cut these out and pass them out to her class, one for every two kids....so they can work together. Then they circle the words (from the scriptures) on the card and teach the class what the Holy Ghost does.

This art was taken from LDS Free Printables. It was for music leaders, but I took it and put it in a format to make a mini book.

If you can't figure it out from the instructions, there is a link to Youtube.

This idea is from Faith Sprouts.

Make a windsock. Let you child decorate an empty toilet paper roll. Staple long strips of ribbon or streamers to one end of the tube and hang it up outside. Watch the wind blow the sock. Discuss the wind: “We can’t see the wind, but we can feel the wind and we can see the wind blowing things. That’s just like the Holy Spirit. We can’t see Him with our eyes, but we know He is with us. He will help us obey and follow Jesus.” (You could also fly a kite and discuss the same concept.)
Here is a cute idea from the Friend. The very best idea is in Come follow Me- for Primary, pg. 87...the paper bag and the flash light....Isn't that Genius? The church must be true (:

I feel like I was doing too many coloring pages, and I wanted something more hands on. So I made this.
These activities are the kind of things they never forget about.
"My teacher/parent is bringing a tree branch inside, to help us learn the scriptures?" Weird, but memorable(:
May want to add strings, if you want to hang them like ornaments.

I'm putting this in a Mason jar and displaying it for the entire week in my home.

I really could supply the whole church with beautiful branches, too bad I can't email them to you. For those of you who don't have trees, I'll give you a paper one. Honestly you probably could have drawn a better one, but just incase here you go.

For those kids that do like to color (You are my fav!) here is a coloring page.

Last one! Primary teachers can use this as the "heart" that they ask for in the primary manual, print the B&W one for your kids to decorate.

These two ladies always amaze me with their ideas that keep kids moving.
