Come Follow Me "God is not the Author of Confusion, but of Peace"- Sept 2-8
Updated: Sep 2, 2019

My goodness I get a lot done having my kids in school. This was really fun to make for you. I hope you enjoy these activities too.
This is a recycled activity from a couple months ago, but it really goes along well with this weeks lesson, so I'm bring it back for my new friends that haven't got to use it.

Here is another visual lesson of coming alive again.
Note: edited after picture was taken.

You just have to see how cute it is in black and white.

So my daughter didn't like that after she came alive she couldn't walk around. So I disconnected the brad and glued the bottom of the grass part, to make kind of a pocket. So she can come back and die (: and come alive again and run around the field.
Could read a section of this talk by Thomas S Monson about his friend that died, will go well with this printable.
Here is a very touching video of Pres. Monson talking about his friend

Here is an idea from Mitzi at https://emiscrafty.com/2018/12/10/come-follow-me-2019-lesson-plans/

Come Follow Me-For Primary page 138 "The children can prepare now to go to the temple and be baptized for the dead when they turn 12 years old."
Here is a video my husband really likes, its a very kid friendly cartoon, it teaches that when we find names and go to the temple, it is spiritual dynamite:

Here is a fun family tree, mini version of what they will do in family search. You may wan to visit that as a family. Might be fun to print off pictures of the actual people. Or add more branches.

Here is a Pedigree Chart for older children

Come Follow Me-For Primary page 138 "Show pictures of a temple baptismal font. Do the children know what happens here?"

Sister Janece Vines pointed out an obvious teaching opportunity, that I would have otherwise missed. She said that she is going to teach her primary children about the plan of salvation. Cut out pictures and have them put them in the right order.
So I made this, because it really is a great idea! It is in black and white, so you can have a coloring page while you talk about it, if you'd like.

Another idea I really liked of Sister Vines is how she is going to teach the differences of our mortal bodies vs. our Resurrected body. She is going to make two bodies on poster board. The mortal bodies will have holes in it and have tissue paper covering them (from the back), they kids will throw bean bags and break though the holes. The Resurrected body will also have holes in it, but they will have poster board covering them, so they can't break through with the bean bags.
Isn't that great? Thanks again Sister Vines for sharing you talents!
The Manuel didn't suggest any primary songs except "The Lord gave me a Temple." Which is a repeat from a couple weeks ago.

Here is a link within my website, so you can print it.

I've also added "I love to see the Temple." Because all this talk about them going into the temple to do baptisms.
This is a link within my website, so you can print it off.

Come Follow Me- For Primary page 138 “Draw the sun on the board and place small pieces of paper, or steps, on the ground leading to the sun. Each paper could represent something we need to do to enter the celestial kingdom ”

This is for Senior Primary or for older kids.
Come Follow Me- for Primary page 139 "Explain that Joesph Smith had a vision in which he saw three kingdoms that match the kind of bodies Paul describes. Help the children find phrases from D&C 76:50-53, 70; 76:71-79; 76:81-82 that describe these three kingdoms. "
Cut out the little pictures and have the children help you look up and read the scriptures, and decide which kingdom they belong to.
I'm doing this activity with the family, my teenagers pretend that they don't like the little kid activities, but they participate a lot more, and we aren't the only ones talking. I know they love it!

Here is a printable from the church, I like that is gets kids into the scriptures.

Last one and it's a big one.
Going to the Temple game. It reviews or teaches everything in the lesson.
When I play this with my family, I'm probably not going to cut the cards into pieces. I'll pick the question or activity for the age of the child.

That's it Friends.
For those of you doing this with your families Teachye.com has some fabulous lesson plans as well as https://emiscrafty.com/2018/12/10/come-follow-me-2019-lesson-plans/
Please share! My goal is to help encourage the study of CFM. Not just for the families that can afford to pay for printable's, but for everyone. So please help pass the news.
Thank you!
