Fun week....I'm loving on the Glow sticks. Found these at Dollar tree, but I'm sure any dollar store is great.

Come follow Me- For primary page 185 “ (1 John 1:5-7; 2:8-11) “How can comparison to physical light and darkness help you teach the children about the light that Heavenly Father brings to their lives?”

Come Follow Me-For Primary "Darken the classroom, and invite the children to suggest ways light could be brought into the room. Help them think of ways we can bring the light of Jesus Christ into our lives. As they share their answers turn on flashlights or uncover a window (or activate a glow stick) to gradually add light to a room)."

If I was teaching this lesson, I would put all these in a bag or pillow case that isn't see-through. When a child mentions something that brings more of the "light of Christ" into our lives, I would pull it out and let them activate the glow stick. Then set it on the table in the dark room, until all the glow sticks are on that same table making a considerable amount of light.

Here is a print of what I gathered, you can always add more, like good music, and Choosing the Right. Have some extra glow sticks on hand for those ideas that the kids have that you don't have a picture for.

Come Follow Me- For Primary page 186 “Read John 4:21 to the children. Invite them to share or act out various ways they could show love towards a friend...how do these things make our friends feel? How does Heavenly Father feel when we do kind things for others?”

Cut out and fold in the flower, open each pedal and discuss what the act of service is. With each one, ask how Heavenly Father feels when we do those kind things for others.

Come Follow Me-For Primary page 186 “Read 1 John 4:21 to the children, invite them to act out various ways they could show love toward a friend, such as giving a hug or making a card....” (or making a hug a card)

You know those signs that teachers have on their doors and the kids coming in get to choose how the teacher will greet them? With a high-five, or a hug, or etc. This is a way that the kids in your class can do that, then you can point out how it made them feel. And how we can do that for our friends. They can take it home so their family members can choose how they like to be greeted. (:

I'm sorry I was in such a big hurry this week. I was actually in the hospital for a stinkin 5mm kidney stone that I couldn't pass without some major pain killers, on Monday and Tuesday. Then I had to get ready for Thanksgiving. So I really had to whip this out. hope it helps someone out there.
